Summer BBQ's Pile on the Pounds!

Last week’s Fourth of July festivities are now a thing of the past, but the food and drink you might have over-indulged in during the traditional cookouts are not exactly celebratory. In fact, they are likely to have added on a few pounds.

Make Exercise a Part of Summer Fun

Summertime and the living is easy – at least that’s what the song says. But with all those fun activities calling your name, will you find time – and the motivation - to keep up your exercise program?

Strike Before Strokes Strike!

If you are health-conscious, you know how important our lifestyle is in preventing a host of serious diseases and other medical conditions, including stroke, which is the third leading cause of death right after cancer and heart attacks.

Spring into Fitness!

Are you one of those people who made a New Year’s resolution to eat better and exercise more often, but have not yet lived up to this promise?

Mom's the Word

What will you be giving your mom this Mother’s Day? If you are like most people, you will probably offer her flowers. But what about a more out-of-the-box gift that will keep on giving long after May 8th is over?

Energy Boosting Snacks

(MERIDIAN, ID March 9, 2011) – It’s March and spring is just around the corner. With warmer weather and longer days, you may want to step up your exercise routine – working out more regularly and diligently than you have during the dark winter months.

Healthy Cheating

Whenever I talk about nutrition with clients, it always comes down to the same factor: finding the balance between what you know you should be doing (most people have a fairly good grasp on what's healthy and what's not), and what you are willing to do long term. Find that balance and you're golden. It's about being healthy, AND happy. If you feel like you're in a constant state of starvation and/or deprivation, you will not be happy. And if you're not happy, I can almost guarantee that you won't be healthy.
